We are thinking of Cathy today. She was a long-time friend of Helen's parents, Ron and Gwen Ambler, who got to know her in Anglesey through her late husband, Louis. We visited her in Lens, and she was always very generous at Christmas and on our birthdays and that of our son Dominic. We admired her enterprise in becoming an English-language tutor after Louis' death, and she and Maurice (a recently retired lexicographer) frequently talked about dictionaries and language teaching. We are very grateful to the Tarissi family for having been so kind to her in recent years.
